On November 8, 2019, H.E. Mr. Ma Xinmin, the Chinese Ambassador to Sudan, meets with Ms. Ilham Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Ma Xinmin noted that the friendship between China and Sudan has a long history. The millennium-long history of association makes the friendship profound. The 60-year official diplomatic relations bears rich fruits as a result of the mutually supportive and mutually reliable strategic partnerships. Sudan is undergoing a great change unseen for 30 years. However, no matter how the situation changes, the profound political mutual trust, economic and people-people friendship foundation that has been laid before will surely make the Sino-Sudan relation solid and everlasting. China would like very much to continue and develop the Sino-Sudan friendly and cooperative relations, and try her hard to coalesce the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative with the development strategy of Sudan, strengthening the full sided cooperation in agriculture, mining, energy, infrastructure construction and so on, closing the culture exchanges etc. to advance the Sino-Sudan strategic partnership and to bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Ms. Ilham Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed noted that Sudan is grateful for China’s long-term and consistent valuable help and great support. Sudan admires the noticeable achievements made in different areas in the past 60 years since the establishment of the official diplomatic relations. Sudan pays high attention to the relations with China and would like very much to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation in all areas, going on to keep good communications in international and regional issues, and to promote the friendship between the two peoples. Sudan would like very much to take the hands of China to promote the Sudan-China relations into new high.
