On the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the centennial of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese Embassy in Sudan launched in June this year a photo contest "Impression of Sudan" to demonstrate the achievements in China-Sudan friendly cooperation and eulogize the deep friendship between the two peoples. The theme of the contest is China-Sudan friendship in focus, closer people-to-people ties and together for future. This event was warmly received by a wide range of photographers, including staff of China-funded institutions in Sudan, members of the 36th Chinese medical assistance team to Sudan, teachers and students of the Confucius Institute at the University of Khartoum, overseas students and overseas Chinese in the country. The photographic works they contributed give us a view of the splendid landscape of Sudan and remind us of many precious moments in the history of China-Sudan friendship. Many of them have been shortlisted for the China-Africa Video and Photo Competition and are treasured as the witness to new achievements and visions of China-Africa friendship and cooperation and to new developments and highlights of people-to-people exchanges. The Chinese Embassy in Sudan will show these outstanding photographic works in the coming days. Today, let's experience China-Sudan friendship.
